CKS Global Solutions Limited seeks at all times to minimize the impact of our day to day operations on the environment.

To this end we will:

• Endeavour to recycle as much of our manufacturing waste as possible.

• Re- use packaging materials wherever possible – both our own and suppliers.

• Work with our suppliers to remove excess packaging.

• Comply with all UK and EU environmental directives.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Returns

In the European Union (EU), waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is now subject to legislation designed to prevent the disposal of such waste and to encourage proper treatment measures to minimize the amount of waste ultimately disposed to landfill. The objective of this Directive is to preserve, protect and improve the quality of the environment. In particular, the WEEE Directive requires that ‘Producers’ of electronic equipment be responsible for the collection, reuse, recycling and treatment of WEEE which the Producer places on the EU market after August 13, 2005. CKS Global Solutions Ltd, as an electronics producer, endeavours to meet these environmental responsibilities for managing WEEE. In so doing, we are providing the following information for our customers about our WEEE collection process.

Returns Policy

To comply with the WEEE Directive, we have implemented a product take back program to cover collection, treatment, recovery and disposal of all electrical and electronic equipment sold by CKS Global Solutions Limited into the EU member states on and after August 13, 2005. Where we are the producer of such equipment we will take back WEEE, including sub-assemblies, components and consumables which are part of equipment produced by us, from our customers within the EU.

Where products have not been purchased directly from the Company but purchased through our EU distributors these distributors, as importers of the products, become the ‘Producers’ within the scope of the WEEE Directive. Our distributors will register in their own EU country for WEEE treatment. Please contact your local provider for information on their take back policy. Our Client Services team would be pleased to advice details of your local provider and assist you with the process if required. Please contact our technical support on (+44) 01438 747111 or [email protected].

WEEE Collection Process

If you have purchased CKS Global Solutions Limited branded products in the EU on or after August 13, 2005, and are intending to discard these products at the end of their useful life, please do not dispose of them along with general waste. All electronic products are labeled with the with the WEEE label to identify them as WEEE disposal products which should not be disposed in a landfill or other general waste in the EU. The following return and collection system is available to you for discarding these products.

When WEEE purchased from CKS Global Solutions Limited and sold into the European Union has reached the end of its useful life, we will either take delivery of or collect the WEEE from our customers and route it to our screening centre in the UK where the waste will be audited and screened for disposal. Where possible, the products will be reused or recycled. Material that cannot be reused in some form is recycled by our Environmental Services recovery contractor.

To help in the proper handling of electronic products at the end of their useful life, we would ask you to return these products using the instructions provided here, so that the products can be returned or collected, dismantled for reuse and/or recycled, and properly disposed of. To return products please complete and submit the online WEEE Returns Form for return authorisation. Alternatively please contact our Client Services Team on +44 1438 474111 or [email protected], who will be pleased to provide a copy.

Please note that all the required fields must be completed to enable us to process your request.

Once the form is submitted, you will be contacted by our Client Services Team within two business days to authorise return or arrange a competitively priced collection if required.

Please note that only authorised WEEE returns can be accepted. Please ensure items are sufficiently packaged safe transit.

Historical WEEE

While the WEEE Directive does not apply to products purchased from us prior to August 13, 2005, we would be happy to consider any request to take back such historical waste. A WEEE management fee may apply. These requests should be made in accordance with the instructions listed under the ‘WEEE Collection Process’ above.
